Penobscot County ARES Meeting Script
Penobscot County ARES Net Control Script
This is (c/s, name), your net Control this evening for the Penobscot County ARES Group, WA1RES.
This is a directed net which meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month on the 146.940 repeater with a tone of
100. This net is open to all amateur radio operators, whether or not they are ARES members. All amateurs are encouraged to
participate.
The purpose of this net is to provide information of interest to all amateurs and to exercise the emergency communications
of the Penobscot County ARES Group. This net can pass traffic to the National Traffic System.
At this time, is there any emergency or routine traffic? Hearing none, I will now
take check-ins from anyone wishing to check-in.
(The check-in procedure is up to the NCS, although groups of five in any order with no phonetics seems to work as well as
any. It is not a hard and fast rule to acknowledge check-ins, but doing so lets everyone know that they have been heard.)
If there are any others wishing to check-in, come now please.
Does anyone have comments before we proceed?
Are there any announcements at this time?
Before we proceed, do we have any further check-ins?
Do we have a program this evening?
(Offer thanks for program)
Do we have any other check ins.
Are there any further comments before closing?
I will now return the repeater to normal use and I want to thank all those who participated in the net this evening.
